"Ladybugs, Catherine. Lots and lots of ladybugs." Under the Tuscan Sun. That movie was my "mantra"...Mexico, 2004. I must have watched it 20 times...over and over as I too unpacked my every belonging . I lugged it all down south with me, something I now consider completely unnecessary. My big move to Mexico. My big change. My grand opportunity to change my luck.
I say..."The Unlikely Mariquita" (Mariquita meaning "Ladybug", in Spanish) because I hardly consider myself "Lucky". Better yet, I haven't exactly had the "luckiest" life. Or maybe I have. I suppose it depends on how you look at it. At which vantage point I may be standing at the moment - could be either.
